Equipping “Raise Skeleton” allows you to summon the Skeletal Warriors and Skeletal Mages, while equipping the “Golem” allows you to have a Golem permanently. Raise Skeletons and GolemĪside from the default skills that the Necromancer has, it also has access to the Book of the Dead which allows the Necromancer to gain access to two skills which are the skeletons and the golems. This then allows you to create new corpses from the slain enemies which can start a chain reaction that slays groups of enemies with ease. Every slain enemy will leave a corpse that you can detonate to deal huge amounts of AoE damage. The Corpse Explosion skill has always been a build staple in previous Diablo games, and this entry is no exception. If you're not playing Corpse Explosion then you're already playing the Necromancer on the back foot. Darkness skills slowly deplete enemies' HP (all while applying debuffs to them), while Curses are persistent AoE debuffs that allow you to slow and weaken multiple enemies at once.Įffect: Detonate a corpse, dealing X damage to surrounding enemies. Use Curses and Darkness to Debilitate and Slowly Kill Enemiesĭebuffs and DoT effects are also part of the Necromancer's arsenal, allowing them to harness the power of Curses and Darkness to deal AoE effects that pair well with their Primary and Core Skills. These skills range from turning blood into spears that impale or suck the life out of enemies, or summoning a wave of blood that acts as both CC and damage during particularly hectic fights. To manage its corpse economy, the Necromancer is also equipped with a plethora of ways to create new corpses via its skills, allowing it to further control the battlefield! Manipulate Blood to Deal Damage and Heal YourselfĪlternatively, Necromancers can also harness the power of Blood Skills to both deal damage and heal themselves during combat. The Necromancer can also utilize the corpses of fallen enemies to create explosions, pull enemies into one location, or summon additional minions. Utilize Corpses to Unleash Strong Attacks Without any real threat to it, the Necromancer is allowed to deal insane amounts of damage against a single-target enemy via a concentrated attack from its army, or against a group of enemies via its wide array of spells. This allows Necromancers to use their spells with impunity as their skeletal minions draw enemy aggro away from the caster.
